Where do Masters hide?

We can only become masters in a filed we love and feel a profound connection to it… there is no other way. I like to meet people and listen to their stories. I always enjoy to hear stories of people…

Digital Identity

Have you ever thought of your digital platforms as a virtual, standing representation of the multiple identities you keep up daily? No, I don’t have a multiple personality disorder. But I am an English writing and publication major, a student journalist, a Latina, a woman, a twenty something year old and struggling college student.

So people say be careful what you do because everything that goes on the internet stays on the internet. Which is why I’m happy that if you were to google ‘Selene Godina’ you’d find the stories I’ve published for the student newspaper, academic blog posts, conference papers, etc. I’ve established this digital presence of a diligent student. Though it is all only a few years old, there’s something oddly permanent about the reputation I’ve set up.

Personally, I see my two digital worlds colliding. I tweet with my professor and classmates weekly. My news writing professor said as a journalist you have to have an accessible social media presence. And as you know, this is my second time analyzing my digital identity. I see that I’m becoming more myself on digital spaces when I used to keep up a separate persona in emails and conference application as well as in a Tweet and Snapchat. The truth is I’m a combination of the student and the person.
